​​Recruitment

The University of Cincinnati Dance Team has officially transitioned to a recruitment-only selection model for the Class of 2026 and on. We will also be accepting the Common College Dance Team Video. In-person tryouts will no longer be held. Instead, our coaching staff thoroughly assesses candidates over time, taking into account their academic performance, athletic skills, and personal attributes. We are dedicated to ensuring that the process is transparent and easy to navigate for all aspiring student-athletes.

Meet & Connect

Introduce yourself and engage with UCDT coaching staff or members on campus, clinics, recruiting events, and/or competitions. Showcase your unique qualities, ask questions, and follow up to express your continued interest. We highly recommend attending our summer clinics, so we can get to know you better! Complete the Recruit Interest Form below to express your interest and introduce yourself to the coaching staff.

Video Submission & Selection

Now accepting official recruitment submissions for the 2026-2027 season! UCDT now follows the Common College Dance Team Recruitment Video & Timeline and will utilize the early submission deadline of September 1. Videos will be reviewed, and selected recruits will receive an invitation to our exclusive Recruitment Weekend.

Evaluations & Offers

Athletes will continued to be evaluated from fall through spring. Offers for positions on the University of Cincinnati Dance Team will be extended at the discretion of the coaching staff continuously through the winter/spring. The team roster for the 2026-2027 season will be finalized in spring of 2026.

Recruiting Timeline

CLASS OF 2026

​​September 1, 2025: Deadline for Class of 2026 dancers to submit common recruiting video & supplemental video to our submission form.

October 1, 2025: Final date by which dancers will receive status updates from UCDT (still being considered OR is no longer considered for the 2026-2027 UCDT)

March 2026: Finalized Roster

Videos sent in after September 1st and prior to January 1st will undergo review continuously. Dancers who submit their videos before September 1st will receive priority consideration.

This interest form allows you to express your interest in the University of Cincinnati Dance Team and helps you get on the coaching staff's radar. It is recommended for high school sophomores and older.
